CrossFit is the most popular and most effective fitness approach in a generation. The fun-but-challenging group training environment combined with personal attention from an experienced coach makes this a winning formula. Anything is fair game in CrossFit. We'll use kettle bells, gymnastics, yoga, track and field, and old school strength and conditioning techniques to bring you the greatest hits of fitness techniques all in one class.
Bootcamp style circuit training classes focus on mobility, technique, and fat burning. The goal of Sooner Movement is to improve the fitness and body composition for our athletes by developing balance, flexibility, stamina, and strength. These are up-tempo, cardio-intensive classes great for beginners as well as cardio-junkies.
Strength HQ Series
Strength HQ is a dedicated Heavy Athletics program focused on athletic development and competitive event preparation. The program cycles through four progressive seasons of Powerlifting, Strongman, Highland Games, and Weightlifting. Each season builds on the last as athletes become proficient in all disciplines of Heavy Athletics. Strength HQ athletes are strongly encouraged to compete quarterly.
The Competitor Combine brings together athletes of any and all skill levels with a shared interest in competition of any sort. This is not the exclusive domain of elite crossfitters, but rather a place for those with the desire to compete to come together to sharpen their skills, develop teamwork, improve team communication and strategy, and identify and eliminate weaknesses in order to better prepare themselves for success in future events, be they 5Ks, scaled CrossFit competitions, or the upcoming CrossFit Open.
The weekly gymnastics workshop is designed to train and work on movements outside of traditional barbell or dumbbell work. These workshops focus on core strength, mobility, and a variety of gymnastics movements from handstands, muscle ups, plyometric and stability drills, and more. This weekly workshop is a recommended check in for competitive athletes to identify & develop any weaknesses in their body weight movements, but also a great class for any member looking to get a good core workout and learn basic gymnastic movements.
