I began my fitness journey in 2019 with no athletic background. I did not grow up playing sports, and fitness was not a natural part of my life. What *was* familiar, however, was a family history of health challenges. I reached a point where I knew I had to make a change—not just for myself, but to change the course of my health and my family’s future.
That decision led me to join what I thought was a bootcamp in 2019, which turned out to be CrossFit. I was immediately hooked. For the first time, fitness felt empowering, sustainable, and purposeful. Somewhere along the way, a wild idea took root: I wanted to coach. At the time, it felt completely out of reach—I was still new, still learning, and still discovering what my body was capable of.
In 2021, I moved to Alabama, and my gym owner asked if I had ever considered becoming a trainer. It was a dream I had never shared with anyone, yet suddenly it felt possible. By early 2022, I earned my Healthy Steps Nutrition Certification and my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification, officially beginning my coaching career.
In 2023, I moved back to Oklahoma and focused on rebuilding—coaching at various gyms, growing my client base, and continuing my education. That same year, I earned my CrossFit Level 2 Trainer certification, followed by my NASM Certified Personal Trainer credential. Throughout this time, one thing became clear: helping people through fitness was not just something I enjoyed—it was my calling.
In April of 2025, my husband and I took a leap of faith and purchased Norman Strength and Conditioning. Our goal is simple but powerful: to build a gym rooted in both fitness and community. A place where people of all backgrounds and ability levels feel supported, challenged, and welcomed. A place where fitness is about longevity, confidence, and living a healthier life—together.
I coach because I believe fitness can change lives. I am living proof that you do not need an athletic past to build a strong, capable, and healthy future.
