Norman Strength isn’t your high school.
And we’re not like other gyms, either.
We don’t do drama, cliques, or judgment.
I actually had a pretty good time in high school. I was a bit of a nerd. But I didn’t have the opportunity to spend time in the weight room. That came later in life when I found CrossFit and was introduced to weightlifting.
And it changed everything.
Lifting weights gave me confidence.
It gave me knowledge.
It taught me how to handle stress.
I became more outgoing, and I felt good about myself.
About six years later, I took ownership of Norman Strength so I could share that same gift with others.
This is what we believe:
Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do—not a punishment for what you ate.
You have to find something you enjoy, and experience success, before you’ll ever feel motivated to stick with it.
Progress matters more than perfection.
Coaching matters.
And showing up again tomorrow matters most.
Have there been “gym jerks” along the way? Of course. But since I own the gym, I get to decide what kind of environment we create—and that “we’re better than everyone” attitude doesn’t belong here.
That means Norman Strength may never be the biggest gym in town.
We may never win a CrossFit competition.
But we will always be the best because of the people inside these walls.
If you want to get fit, have fun, and leave the high school mindset behind—come talk to us.
No pressure. No sales pitch. Just a conversation.
